Manchester City join Chelsea as the favourites to lift the FA Cup this season.
The top English sides will battle Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur respectively for a place in the final. While it a difficult task, they hold a slight advantage ahead of the clash next month.
The bookies favour both sides to move ahead but Chelsea are still the likely club to do the double – with their Premier League advantage.
Pep Guardiola’s men booked their spot in the last four with a big victory away at Middlesbrough. They have not won the tournament since the 2010/11 season; in fact, they are reaching the last four for the first time in four years. Betfair places them 2/1 in the odds of beating the Blues to the title in May.
They are set to play Arsenal at the Emirates. While Arsenal would be more focused on a top-four finish, as usual, they would surely put up a strong fight against them.
Chelsea also have the advantage 2/1 to doing the double in Antonio Conte’s debut season in England. They saw off ten-man United at The Bridge to book their spot against Spurs on Monday. They would also host Spurs at the Bridge – which gives them a slight advantage over going to White Hart Lane.
Despite seeing off Milwall 6-0 over the weekend, Spurs are the lowest rank side to win the tournament, bookies give them odds of 7/2. Their chances are made worse with an ankle injury to in-form striker Harry Kane.
Arsenal are also underdogs to win, with their morale very low after their 10-2 loss to Bayern Munich. Arsene Wenger is also getting uncomfortable at remaining at the club, especially with fans’ protests.
